Cutting Horse Clinics
3-4 day clinics with Lindy Burch teaching cow sense, feel, and light-bulb moments from the first woman NCHA Futurity Champion and the only woman NCHA Open World Champion.
Lindy Burch hosts 3-4 day cutting clinics where riders bring their own horses and dive into the sport she loves. She shares her feel for cows, timing, and horse response, helping participants improve step by step. The sessions create lasting breakthroughs and ongoing connections.
What a Typical 3-4 Day Lindy Burch Clinic Looks Like
Lindy prefers three or four days because it allows real progress. The first day delivers a rush of information on basics and feel. Riders often feel overwhelmed, scribbling notes as she explains concepts.
The second day involves trying those ideas on horseback. Riders experiment, and things may get worse before better. By the third day, the light bulb turns on. The final day includes a little cutting show where Lindy judges and critiques.
How Lindy Teaches Riders at Every Level
Riders arrive with varying experience. Lindy adjusts her explanations to build understanding, drawing from her time as an assistant teacher. She focuses on those eager to learn, creating an environment where questions flow freely.
Why the Third-Day Light-Bulb Moment Happens
The structure builds deliberately. Overload on day one gives way to practice on day two. Then, riders suddenly grasp the feel.
That click comes from Lindy’s emphasis on the why. Riders see immediate improvement in their horses.
“Usually the third day, they just go, this big light bulb comes on, and they go, I get it. Now I see what you’re saying. Now I can do this. And then they do this on their horse, and their horse gets better.”
What Riders Take Home and How Support Continues
Every rider’s work gets videoed for review. Lindy ensures everyone leaves with footage to study.
The relationship extends beyond the clinic. Riders stay in touch for advice.
“The people that are putting it on video everybody, so everybody has a video to take home. And so they call me with questions or send me videos of their horses and say, What do you think? Which I enjoy. I do enjoy helping people that want to learn.”
